This Exhibition was organized by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China, the National Economic and Trade Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the National Bureau of Statistics and Beijing Government. And it was also jointly prepared by all relevant departments, the People's Liberation Army, the people's governments of the provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.
As one of the main celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the exhibition has attracted worldwide attention and gained unprecedented popularity from Chinese and foreign media.
It showed that the Chinese people had successfully embarked on a new path of socialism with Chinese characteristics under the leadership of the three generations of the Communist Party of China with Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin as the core. Brilliant historical achievements had been shown in all aspects of culture, national defense, diplomacy and reunification of the motherland. The exhibition is divided into 64 exhibition areas, with more than 22,000 square meters and 1.5 million visitors. The exhibition content spans half a century and is divided into five parts: preface, comprehensive exhibition area, departmental exhibition area, local exhibition area and outlook. After the exhibition, the center was awarded the title of “Best Organizer” by the Leadership Group of the Achievement Exhibition Committee for its outstanding work.
